Debbie Swigert,
B.A.,
ACE Certified Personal Trainer Debbie has owned
and operated the Lafayette Health Club since 1981. She has been an
active and competitive athlete from a very young age. Her adolescent
years were spent submerged in a pool as a year round, age group
swimmer.
Debbie dried out in her 20's and started to lift weights, run and
began to teach aerobic dance classes. In her 30's, she hit the pool
again and was back into competing year round with Masters Swimming (19
and over).
In her 40's, Deb decided to expand her athletic horizons and began
racing mountain bikes and competing in road & mountain bike
triathlons, where she is a frequent age group winner. Still swimming
competitively, she manages to stay in the top 10 in the nation in her
age group in the 200 yard butterfly.
During the past 20 years, Deb has kept the club up to date and on the
cutting edge, offering and teaching the latest and most popular
activities the fitness industry has to offer. Deb has a love for
fitness and the desire to help others to achieve their fitness goals.
The Lafayette Health Club has made a difference in many peoples'
lives. Many relationships have begun here and many people live much
richer lives due to what they have learned and experienced within the
walls of LHC. Feel free to pull Deb aside to discuss your workout
program or athletic goals.

Tony Salinaro
N.F.I./ N.A.S.M Personal Trainer
A long time resided
of the Bay area, Tony has seen many other parts of the world while in
the Navy and in other travels. He appreciates more than ever, the many
opportunities this area provides. The weather, geography, the fresh
produce and the great health clubs, such as Lafayette Health Club, all
contribute to an awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Just like most of you, Tony did not always care for his health and
fitness. He was a pretty active kid, but the responsibilities of
career and family became "everything". He knew he could feel better
and stronger, but he did not have the time to fit it in. Good health
has to be a priority. Finally, a personal crisis, and then the desire
to gain some control of his life, led Tony to start doing some
"jogging". Over time he sought out more information and was encouraged
to learn more about feeling and performing well. He became a fairly
competitive runner and was the President of The Island City Runners in
Alameda for many years.
Tony can attest to the fact that a consistent and appropriate exercise
program can lead to a Lifestyle of Fitness. Tony's personal training
programs are informed by the explorations of Yoga, Pilates,
Feldenkries, and strength and conditioning. He is a Running Coach
working with individuals and teams.
Tony is committed to bringing you the tools to build a Lifestyle of
Fitness for yourself.
